Welcome to the Ojeda MS Nurse's Office. My name is Amarilis Cosme, I have been working in the health field for more than 25 years and as a  Nurse for 7 years. I love being a Nurse because I enjoy helping people. Our main goal is to protect and promote students' health, facilitate optimal development and advances academic success.

I recently started working with DVISD as a nurse aide. I’m a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) . Some responsibilities of a CNA are providing first aid to students and staff for minor injuries, recording symptoms of sick students, giving medication, providing emergency care when needed and performing health screening of students. CNAs perform important tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

I was born and raised in Austin TX. I come from a big family of 7 sisters and 4 brothers. I'm happily married and have a son named Yoel. He is 6yrs old.

Some of my favorite things to do are spend quality time with my mother, take my son to the park, play volleyball, go to the beach and watch my husband play soccer. My favorite food to eat is chinese food. A goal of mine is to keep students healthy and ready to learn.
