Mr. Ryan Hayes, Ojeda Middle School Principal
Ryan Hayes Sr., Principal of John P. Ojeda Middle School
Ryan Hayes Sr. is the new principal of John P. Ojeda Middle School. Mr. Hayes joins Ojeda after serving
as assistant principal at Del Valle High School for the past year.
Mr. Hayes brings 16 years of education experience, which includes six years of DVISD experience to his
new role as principal. Prior to his time as assistant principal at DVHS, he was an assistant principal at
Dailey Middle School in DVISD, and Weiss HS and Kelly Lane MS in Pflugerville ISD. His educational
career started in Houston ISD at Cullen MS, and then on to Hartman MS, Woodson MS, Reynolds ES, and
Jack Yates HS as an English, science, and math teacher, behavior specialist, and a multiple state
champion assistant coach in basketball.
Mr. Hayes earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Texas State University, a master’s degree
in Educational Leadership from Huston-Tillotson University and will receive his doctoral degree from
Concordia University in Austin in 2023.

Hello Gator Nation!
It is truly an honor to be the leader of John P. Ojeda Middle School! I am eager to serve the Ojeda community while building meaningful relationships with students, teachers, staff, and parents.
A commitment to provide leadership through loyalty, literacy, and love is my main objective, and I encourage everyone in the Gator family to join in the cause.
As a new year is upon us, let us continue strengthening our OMS Pride, and always keep in mind that our students come first!
