Principal's Message

Joaquin Guerrero, Ojeda Middle School Principal

My name is Joaquin Guerrero, and I am the proud Principal of Ojeda Middle School. I have been leading teams to improve performance from a decade in the military rising to a Cavalry officer, leading at Marshall and Longview high schools, New Diana and Hyde Park middle schools, Bailey Elementary School, and as a Board President of the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Pines.

We plan for an awesome year of amazing GATOR GROWTH. We intentionally plan to have wonderful days that lead to wonderful weeks, that lead to wonderful months, in order to have a wonderful year. We will do this through detailed planning, coordination, and execution, utilizing a GROWTH mindset::

  • Goodness- to learn and do good.
  • Relationships - Connect, converse, collaborate, and create in the community.
  • Optimism - “Si, se puede.” Be faithful and positive in all circumstances.
  • Wisdom - think, act, reflect, construct, and improve.
  • Truth- always be trustworthy to yourself and others.
  • Health - Better health leads to better performance. Focus on physical, mental, and social well-being.

Meet the Teacher Night is on August 5th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We invite you to have Breakfast with the Principal on Monday, August 12th at 8:30 a.m. after student drop-off.

I am looking forward to meeting with you to co-create the very best learning community. GROW GATORS
