Board Seeks Community Involvement for Superintendent Process

The Del Valle Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent. The Board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent. On Dec. 7, DVISD and the Junior League of Austin distributed more than 2,500 warm winter coats to the youth of the Del Valle community. We can’t say thank you enough to over 200 volunteers who helped make the day possible; we couldn’t have done it without each of you!

Reminder: All schools and district offices will be closed from Dec. 23 – Jan. 3.

District offices will resume regular hours on Mon., Jan 6, for staff development. Campuses will re-open, following regular class schedules, on Tues., Jan. 7.

75% percent of voters approved the DVISD $284 million bond. The bond includes upgrades for current facilities, safety & security, and technology infrastructure & equipment along with the replacement of buses and future land purchases.

Del Valle ISD serves over 11,000 students on 15 campuses and works to do “Whatever It Takes” for their students. The district’s official mascot is the cardinal and the colors are true red and white.
